The platform runs on dedicated servers of a cloud hosting provider. Recordings are kept in separate S3-compatible object storage. We are adding media servers in the regions where events take place, so audio takes the shortest path to attendees and interpreters. Where a specific event will be hosted, we agree with you in advance.
Backups
- Database backups: daily, retained for 14 days, 8 weeks and 6 months
- Media file backups: daily, retained for 14 days
- Backup disks are encrypted (LUKS)
Access to recordings
Users are created by the organization’s administrator: self-registration is disabled. Every access to a protected recording goes into an append-only log that cannot be altered after the fact.
Isolation
- An interpreter sees only their own broadcasts, other broadcasts are not available to them
- The output language channel is checked on the server: nobody can hijack someone else’s interpretation channel
- The intercom is private, nobody can join someone else’s line
- Multi-tenancy is available for event agencies: several organizations on one platform with their data fully isolated from each other
What this means for a review
Where the data of your event is hosted is agreed before the event and fixed in the contract. The list of what we are ready to provide in writing is in What to show your security team.
